Scholarships are available for graduating seniors interested in enrolling full-time at Skyline College for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters. There will be 1-2 scholarships awarded for each of the following High Schools: BadenPeninsula CapuchinoSouth San Francisco El CaminoTerra Nova JeffersonThornton LincolnWashington Mills Westmoor Oceana Minimum eligibility requirements for graduating high school seniors to be considered for a Skyline College Scholarship:
If you are selected for an award, you must attend Skyline College for the 2010-2011 academic year. If you decide to enroll at another college or university, you will forfeit your scholarship award Your completed application packet is due Friday, April 16, 2010 by 12:00 p.m. in the Financial Aid Office at Skyline College. Only completed application packets will be reviewed. Skyline College Scholarship Checklist High School Seniors – Graduating Class of 2010 A completed application packet contains the following documents: ☐1. Skyline College Scholarship Checklist – this form. ☐2. Scholarship Application Form. This form must be signed and dated. If you need assistance filling out this form please contact the Financial Aid Department. ☐3. Official High School Transcript – Transcript must be sealed by your high school ☐4. Personal Statement – Must be typed, double-spaced, 1.0” – 1.25” margins, Times New Roman, 12 point font, and a maximum of 2 pages in length. Include information about you, your family, background, and any financial need; your plans for the future, academic/career goals, educational achievements and experiences; involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service and/or volunteerism (such as in student government, clubs, sports). Tell why you feel you are deserving of a scholarship. Include any special circumstances or challenges you have had to overcome (physical, psychological, learning), substance abuse, domestic violence, other special family circumstances (single parent, caregiver for elderly/ill parent/grandparent), etc. |
